Lasershape Ltd is pleased to announce it has been recognised as a trusted supplier of Rail approved metalwork after it gained accreditation to EN 15085 CL1, Certification for Welding of Railway Vehicles, sub-assemblies and Components (CWRVC).
The accreditation marks Lasershape’s commitment to the rail sector and sets it apart as one of the few subcontract sheet metal companies in the UK to be recognised for its welding control.
As a subcontract manufacturer in the Rail industry Lasershape manufacture steel and aluminium products and components to rolling stock OEM’s; products such as cable trays, electrical enclosures, interior panels and bracketry. Its state of the art facility offers the very latest in laser cutting, forming, fabrication and finishing technology, supplying products and components with up to 1,000 hours salt spray protection, if finished on its in-house powder coat plant.
Part of Lasershape’s strategy has been to bring together some very experienced industry experts with decades of experience in the rail industry, including a Welding Engineer and Quality Consultant.
EN 15085 Rail Welding Accreditation is the latest addition to Lasershape’s list of industry specific approvals: AS 9100 for Aerospace, EN 1090 for Construction and approval to work to TS 16949 for customers in the automotive industry.
